How It Works: Research and Practice Process at Kaivalaya Ashram
At Kaivalaya Ashram, we believe in the transformative power of consistent practice and research. Our process allows you to explore a meditation or healing method, deeply engage with it, and share your findings with the community. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Choose a Method
Begin by selecting a meditation or healing method that resonates with you. It could be one you already practice, such as Cosmic Healing, Japa, or Pranic Meditation, or you may choose to explore a new technique. This is a crucial first step, as your practice will be based on the method you choose. Spend the first week reflecting on different approaches and selecting one that aligns with your intention for growth.
Step 2: Practice Regularly
Once you've selected your method, commit to practicing it daily with honesty and awareness for at least 2 to 3 months. During this period, focus on consistency and mindfulness in your practice. Keep a small journal where you can track your thoughts, emotions, and experiences each day. This journal will help you understand the subtle shifts happening within you and will be a key component when you reflect on your practice.
Step 3: Write a Short Report
After 2 to 3 months of dedicated practice, take time to reflect on your journey. How has your chosen method affected your peace, mental clarity, emotional balance, and overall wellbeing? Write a 1–2 page summary that captures the essence of your experience. This report is an opportunity to assess the impact of your practice and share your personal insights.
Step 4: Share with the Committee
Once your report is ready, you will present your findings to the Kaivalaya Ashram Research Coordination Committee. You can share your experiences either verbally or in writing. This step is about connecting with the community, sharing your wisdom, and receiving feedback from others who have also walked the path of self-discovery.
Step 5: Recognition
If your research and practice are found to be sincere and valuable, you will be honored with a Certificate of Fellowship. Additionally, your chosen method may be included in the Ashram’s practice programs, allowing others to benefit from your insights and experiences. This recognition is not just a certification, but a step towards deeper integration into the spiritual community at Kaivalaya Ashram.
What to Record
- Name of the method you practised.
- How long and how often you practised it.
- What inner or outer changes you noticed.
- Any special experiences, dreams, or shifts in awareness.
- A short reflection on what you learned.
Recognition
- Participants will receive a Kaivalaya Ashram Spiritual Research Fellowship Certificate.
- Promising and effective methods may be included in Ashram meditation sessions and shared in future retreats or teachings.
- Selected fellows may also be invited for deeper research or mentoring.
Guiding Principles
- Practice with truthfulness, humility, and regularity.
- Keep your reports honest and simple — avoid exaggeration.
- Respect all spiritual paths and traditions.
- Keep your focus on experience, not belief.
